Mobile App Developer (React Native)

About the role

Role Overview: Flutterwave is looking for a Senior React Native Developer to lead the evolution of our consumer-facing payment applications. You will be responsible for creating high-performance, secure, and user-friendly mobile experiences for millions of users. This role offers the opportunity to shape the mobile payment landscape across the continent. Responsibilities: - Lead the development of our React Native mobile applications. - Architect secure and scalable mobile solutions for digital payments. - Integrate with a wide range of regional and international payment APIs. - Ensure native-like performance and high-quality UI/UX across platforms. - Mentor junior mobile developers and establish best practices. - Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver delightful user experiences. - Manage app store deployments and continuous integration flows. Requirements: - 6+ years of experience in mobile development. - Expert proficiency in React Native and JavaScript/TypeScript. - Deep understanding of mobile security and high-performance app design. - Proven experience with payment gateway and mobile wallet integrations. - Strong leadership and communication skills. Nice-to-haves: - Experience with native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin) development. - Familiarity with the African fintech landscape. - Previous experience in a high-growth scale-up.
