Mobile App Developer (Flutter)

About the role

Role Overview: Twiga Foods is seeking a skilled Flutter Developer to join our agritech team. You will be building the mobile interfaces that our network of retailers and farmers use to interact with our logistics platform. This role is critical to our mobile-first strategy in revolutionizing the African food supply chain. Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile apps using Flutter and Dart. - Implement high-performance, pixel-perfect UIs based on Figma designs. - Integrate with internal RESTful APIs and local payment gateways. - Ensure offline capabilities for users in areas with poor internet connectivity. - Optimize app performance and memory usage for a wide range of devices. - Collaborate with the product team to define feature requirements. - Participate in the entire mobile app lifecycle, from discovery to deployment. Requirements: - 3-5 years of experience in mobile app development. - At least 2 years of professional experience with Flutter and Dart. - Solid understanding of state management (Provider, Bloc, or Riverpod). - Experience with mobile money integrations (M-Pesa/Pesapal). - Familiarity with native mobile development (Android/iOS) is a plus. Nice-to-haves: - Experience with Mapbox or Google Maps integration. - Knowledge of GraphQL and Firebase. - Previous experience in agritech or logistics sectors.
