About the role
LogiTrack runs on hardware — GPS trackers, OBD-II readers, temperature sensors, and dashcams — and you will be the engineer who makes that hardware talk reliably to our platform. You will own the device provisioning process, the firmware update pipeline, and the backend integrations for each device type we support. Your primary responsibilities: implement the AWS IoT Core device provisioning pipeline that manufactures unique certificates for each device during factory setup; build the MQTT message processing Lambda functions that validate, normalise, and forward device messages to Kafka; implement the device management API that allows operations managers to commission new devices, diagnose connectivity issues, and push firmware updates over-the-air; build the OBD-II data parser that extracts engine RPM, fuel level, mileage, and diagnostic trouble codes from raw CAN bus data; and implement the cold chain monitoring integration that processes temperature alerts from Frigga and DeltaTrak cargo sensors. You will also build the device simulator that allows the development team to generate realistic GPS and sensor data for testing without physical hardware, and the integration test suite that validates each new firmware version against our message parsing logic before rollout. Experience with IoT protocols (MQTT, CoAP), AWS IoT Core, and device management is required. Experience with vehicle OBD-II systems, CAN bus data, or cold chain monitoring hardware is a significant advantage.
