About the role
The LogiTrack operations dashboard is a professional tool used by logistics managers to monitor their entire fleet in real time, dispatch vehicles, manage routes, and respond to incidents. You will build this dashboard in React with a live map as its centrepiece — showing every vehicle's position, status, and active route simultaneously, updating in real time via WebSocket. The map component is the most complex UI element you will build. It uses Mapbox GL JS to render a dark-themed satellite or street map with vehicle icons that animate smoothly as position updates arrive, route lines for each active journey, geofence polygon overlays, traffic layer integration, and a clustering system that prevents icon overlap when many vehicles are in a small area. The map must maintain sixty frames per second performance with five hundred vehicles simultaneously visible. Beyond the map, you will build: the vehicle list sidebar with sortable, filterable status columns and one-click vehicle focus on the map; the alert feed with priority-sorted incident notifications and action buttons; the route planning interface with drag-and-drop waypoint editing and ETA calculation; the driver communication panel with two-way messaging; and the analytics section with daily/weekly performance charts. You will use React 19, Mapbox GL JS, TanStack Query for server state, Zustand for local state, and Recharts for analytics visualisations. Experience with real-time data visualisation, WebSocket-driven UIs, and map-based interfaces is required for this role.
