Data Engineer — LogiTrack Analytics Platform

About the role

LogiTrack generates enormous volumes of time-series data — billions of GPS pings, millions of delivery events, hundreds of thousands of geofence transitions — and you will build the data infrastructure that turns this raw data into actionable fleet intelligence for operations managers and executive leadership. Your primary deliverables: dbt models on top of TimescaleDB and PostgreSQL that aggregate raw GPS and event data into clean, analysis-ready datasets; automated fleet performance reports covering on-time delivery rate, average delivery time, fuel efficiency by vehicle and route, driver safety scores based on speeding events and harsh braking, and vehicle utilisation rates; an executive dashboard powered by Metabase showing KPIs across the fleet; a customer-facing shipment analytics report that gives enterprise clients insights into their supply chain performance; and a predictive maintenance model that estimates remaining useful life for key vehicle components based on mileage, engine-hours, and maintenance history. You will also build the data quality monitoring system that ensures GPS data is clean — detecting stuck GPS coordinates, implausible speed jumps, and data gaps — and the data archival pipeline that moves old location history to S3 Glacier for cost-efficient long-term storage. Experience with time-series databases (TimescaleDB, InfluxDB, or ClickHouse), dbt, and large-scale data engineering is required. Experience with fleet telematics data or IoT data pipelines is a strong advantage.
